It also boasts some of the best family resorts on the planet that will cater to your every whim with activities, amenities, and features that will make it awfully hard to check out when the time comes.

I’ll introduce you to 13 of my favorite all-inclusive Mexico family resorts ahead, so don’t miss it.

1. Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive Resort

Inclusivity feels great when lounging at a gorgeous resort like the Hilton Vallarta Riviera. This hotel’s prime positioning in downtown Puerto Vallarta makes your family conveniently close to the Bahia Banderas beaches.

The resort has almost 450 enchanting rooms, with Enclaves rooms available for those who seek an experience that transcends the ordinary.

Your stay at an Enclave room includes concierge, welcome amenities, Enclave Lounge access, nightly turndown service, a souvenir beach bag, and in-room amenities you can’t find anywhere else.

The Kids Club makes a stay at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera family-friendly. It’s a daily space that’s bright and colorful enough to keep the kids’ attention, while activities and games will maintain it.

Play areas for toddlers and babies are adorned with soft surfaces, while the kids’ play zone has reading spaces, a television, bean bag chairs throughout the lounge, and arts and crafts stations. The Kids Club is designed for children four through 12.

Your teens won’t spend their vacation scrolling through their phones, as they can engage in myriad activities, from teen nightclubs and discos (complete with a DJ), talent contests (with prizes), themed parties, breakdancing classes, pizza and movie nights, surfing, unmotorized water sports, pool and beach games, workshops, and sports tournaments.

Dinner, anyone? Fill your bellies at La Luce (Italian cuisine), Maxal (Mexican food), Sunan (Asian dishes), Cocomar (seafood joint), the Vela Food Hall (international fare), and Seasalt (a grill). The Azulinda Market Grab-and-Go is a convenient snack bar, and all-day room service with meals is available 24 hours a day.

2. Club Med Cancun Yucatan

What better part of Mexico to visit on your next family vacay than Cancun? This slice of heaven on earth has warm, clear waters and white-sand beaches with palm trees gently swaying in the tropical breeze.

Your all-inclusive stay at Club Med Cancun Yucatan grants you access to the most premium amenities and accommodations the resort offers. You can select the finest suites, partake in many resort activities, and experience excellent resort dining.

Babies and toddlers between two and five years old stay free. Resort pricing is 50 percent off for kids 6 to 11 and 20 percent off for teens 12 to 15.

As if that isn’t incentive enough, Club Med caters to children in every way, with Club Med clubs for kids of all ages.

The Baby Club Med program for babies four to 23 months enables new parents to take their young ones on vacation. This baby-safe space includes fun, stimulating (but never overtiring) activities like nursery rhymes, music, and outdoor walks.

The Biberonneries are bottle rooms with everything you need to feed your baby from a bottle or bowl. The Baby Restaurant is a kid-friendly establishment with nutritious and tasty baby meals. The Baby Corner is featured in other restaurants and offers jarred baby foods, a microwave, and a bottle warmer.

Petit Club Med for children two to three features a baby gym to develop stronger motor skills. Mini Club Med+ for kids four to 10 builds their self-confidence, courage, and creativity.

Club Med Teen for kids 11 to 17 includes teen-only spaces for pool games, sports, video games, engaging activities like film design, a Teen Spa, and a Multi-Ski menu.

The gourmet dining options include tips and taxes as part of your all-inclusive experience, and your drinks are covered throughout your entire vacation.

3. Seadust Cancun Family Resort

The Seadust Cancun Family Resort is another economical choice for a family vacation to Mexico, as this resort lets kids stay free. Parents can take 20 percent off some rooms, deepening their savings.

This highly-rated resort in the Cancun Hotel Zone offers fine family resort suites. The Family Suite King or Double is 592 square feet and boasts a partial sea view.

The main area has two double beds, and another area has bunk beds and three single beds so the entire family can rest.

Keeping busy and having fun is effortless here. Play at the multipurpose or tennis courts, see live shows every evening, play daily mini golf, or go ziplining.

A children’s pool is family-friendly, but they’ll probably want to play more at the Treasure Island Water Park.

The Baby Club is open daily and grants young ones access to toys and supervised activities like coloring and water gymnastics. This program is for kids 11 months to four years.

The Kids Club for your older children five to 12 has water games, cooking, and treasure hunts. There’s also a computer lounge.

The dining options, with their magical flavors, are a treat for the senses. Coffee bars, snack bars, poolside dining, Mediterranean food, Mexican cuisine, Japanese flavors, buffets, steakhouses, and Italian cuisine are available.

You can also request room service or craft an elegant, private gourmet dinner for two or more.

4. Hotel Xcaret Mexico

The motto at the Hotel Xcaret Mexico is “all fun,” which I’m sure sounds like music to your kids’ ears. Better yet, this resort is also sustainable, so it checks all the boxes.

The Xel-Ha program features beverages, food, and unlimited snorkeling in the Riviera Maya. You can go ziplining as a group as part of the Xplor program, which also offers underground tours, amphibious vehicles, and river paddling.

Ride a canal along Cancun while enjoying live Mexican music or set sail to the Isla Mujeres on a ferry, with round-trip transportation covered.

Gastronomists gather at the collection of restaurants the Hotel Xcarat Mexico has, as its chef-led establishments preview the best and most authentic Mexican flavors around.

Dine at establishments like Trajinera, Las Cuevas, Bio, Chibali, Fuego, Cantina Los Faroles, Xin-Gao, Teatro Del Rio, Ha’, Las Playas, and Xpiral.

6. Sensira Resort & Spa

Image credit: Sensira Resort & Spa

One of the premiere all-inclusive resorts in the Rivera Maya, the Sensira Resort & Spa is secluded, with a semi-private beach, watersports, and so much more.

The suites and rooms overlook the breathtakingly beautiful ocean. The Sapphire Rooms are best for big families, as they can accommodate anywhere from three to seven guests. A three-level bunk bed will provide sleeping space for all your children. Parents get a king-sized bed for exquisite slumber.

The rest of the suite includes snacks and drinks catered toward the kids, a bathroom nook, glass sliding doors, kid-themed décor, and a balcony.

There is so much to do you might need to plan a longer stay!

Sensira has an Aquapark for kids between four and 12 with a fountain and water slides. Older kids can swim in one of three pools, with the Central Family Pool my personal pick.

The Baby Explorer Club for children 18 months to three years old has arts and crafts tables, inflatable slides, and other activities for young ones.

The Adventure Club is for kids four to 12, while the Emoji Teens Club offers billiards, air hockey, ping-pong, foosball, VR, and video games for juniors.

Families can also partake in tennis, hit a round of mini golf on a dedicated course, and play at the Area Extrema, which features a climbing wall, ziplining, and more.

What do you feel like eating today? Sensira Resort & Spa has its fair share of snack spots, buffets, and specialty restaurants. The latter are upscale establishments, while the buffet La Pergola is a more casual affair.

Situated on the Pacific Coast, the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf and Spa Resort in Cabo San Lucas will be the backdrop for your dream vacation.

The Fun Lab Teens Club has its own special menu with ice cream, hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, cheesy nachos, and fountain sodas.

8. Barcelo Maya Tropical

A dreamy tropical resort overlooking the beach, the Barcelo Maya Tropical offers a range of hotel rooms, all-inclusive facilities, and fantastic dining.

The Family and Superior rooms are spacious enough as it is, but you can also upgrade to a Premium Level room for the most exclusive benefits. These rooms are more than 500 square feet with two double beds or a king-sized bed.

Watch the breathtaking Riviera Maya from your terrace view.

Refreshments set the mood when you arrive, and toiletries, televisions, and a minibar offer all the necessary amenities.

How do eight swimming pools sound? That should certainly be enough for your family. Some are adults-only, but swimming areas for children balance everything out.

The Barcy Water Park on the resort grounds features kiddie pools, waterfalls, slides, and castles.

Oh, did I mention the Barcelo Maya Tropical has two water parks? That’s right. Pirates Island Water Park is an all-ages attraction, although not complimentary with your stay.

Guests are also welcome to the Surf Rider, although practicing your riding skills requires an extra fee.

Varied, exceptional cuisine offered at the restaurants and buffets features delicious menus and inviting views. Select from yummy options like Palmeras Restaurant, the Santa Fe Restaurant, Capri Restaurant, and the Tropical Buffet Restaurant.

Combining views of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and the Banderas Bay Beach, everything here is utterly picture-perfect.

The luxury suites feature oversized windows, warm décor touches like wooden walls, inlaid televisions, contemporary furniture, and panoramic views. Some suites have swim-out access and a private pool.

I can vouch for the Family Suite Tropical View, a 1,032-square-foot wonder with two bedrooms. One bedroom has dual queen-sized beds, and the other has a king-sized bed.

Mesmerizing mountain views will captivate you, and with two furnished balconies, you can’t beat the view on either side.

The suite has two living areas, sofa beds, two bathrooms with walk-in showers and double vanities, and other cozy nooks.

All-inclusive amenities such as room service, an onsite restaurant, a swimming pool, a concierge, laundry, and a spa make this a covetable vacation spot.

Gear up for the vacation of a lifetime at the Grand Park Royal Cancun, an award-winning resort in the Cancun Hotel Zone. With almost 350 rooms in this all-inclusive resort, you can always enjoy an elegant ocean view and feel pampered from head to toe.

The all-inclusive services are free parking, restaurant access, live music, event hall access, spa and gym access, and nightly entertainment.

Spend your days whiling away in the pool, and don’t miss the Kids’ Club, which has sports, games, and activities for your children.

The all-inclusive dining at the Cocay Restaurant, La Concha Restaurant, El Mirador Restaurant, Koi Restaurant, Pizza House, El Jardin, Grand Prime Rib House, and Taco Grill means it’s always conducive to grab a bite to eat, even if you wish to dine poolside.

11. Hotel NYX Cancun

Paradise awaits at the Hotel NYX Cancun, an immersive holiday resort near the Plaza Flamingo and Plaza La Isla.

The room types are Standard, Deluxe, Sunset Suites, Junior Suites, and Master Suites. Your room includes equipment, such as air conditioning, televisions, a balcony, cable TV, and a safe deposit box.

How about some fine dining? Chianti is an Italian restaurant offered under your all-inclusive plan, Bellavista is a buffet, Umami has avant-garde tastes for brave diners, and Deck offers overarching views of the Caribbean Ocean.

12. Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto by Danzante Bay

Visit a different side of Mexico at the Villa del Palmar, which is situated on the picturesque islands of Loreto. The wide-open seas and unbelievable starry skies at night will captivate your senses.

The range of suites boasts Sierra de la Giganta mountain range views or glimpses into the blue Sea of Cortez. The standard suites include private balconies, bathrooms with spa-like features, full kitchens or kitchenettes, and plush mattresses.

This award-winning resort also offers Premium Floor Suites with even better amenities, such as a regularly stocked minibar, ocean views, free paddleboards and kayaks to use, and the best appliances, linens, and furniture in the resort.

The kids will have an amazing time making authentic Mexican crafts (that make fantastic souvenirs), hunting for and painting shells, taking a nature walk, or building sandcastles.

They can learn valuable skills like Spanish, or dancing or just play some games.

Speaking of games, the Villa del Palmar has plenty, including horseshoes, bean bag toss, Mexican bingo, and bocce ball. Request a stand-up paddleboard or kayaking lesson, join in on a snorkeling tour, or partake in water aerobics.

Superb dining options like the Casa Club, Casa Mia, Market Restaurant, and Danzante Restaurant are beloved for their succulent dishes and equally enthralling atmosphere.

13. Sandos Finisterra

The all-inclusive Sandos Finisterra in Cabo San Lucas is everything you need in a vacation, all rolled up into one. The resort itself has fascinating architecture, as some of the rooms jut out from the rock wall the hotel is built into.

Those rooms provide ocean views you’d never get from a room that wasn’t perilously plunging over the cliffs (don’t worry, it’s all perfectly safe!). Choose the Junior Suite Section for family-friendly lodging.

This suite is just under 500 square feet and offers partial or full ocean views, depending on the room.

Your family can also enjoy amenities such as two double beds or one king-sized bed, as the space is designed for three children and two adults or two children and three adults.

Your room is fully equipped with a shower and tub, water dispenser, air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, minibar, and terrace or balcony views.

Many fun family activities are packaged into your vacation price, like painting classes, trivia games, pool access, and nightly fire shows every Wednesday.

The international flavors that will fill your stomach three meals per day come courtesy of Don Diego’s breakfast buffet, Italian flavors at Emiliano’s Osteria, and the kid-favorite Cupcake Café.
