12 Best Cancun Resorts for Families with Kids and Teens

Cancun is one of the most gorgeous places in the world, with shopping, dining, and miles of perfect beaches with white sands and warm, translucent waters.

Digging deeper reveals more than nightclubs and adults-only resorts. Many resorts across the island cater to families, especially kids and teens. These vacation destinations have awesomely themed rooms, kids’ clubs and programs, varied dining menus, and some even offer all-inclusive amenities.

Keep reading for a rundown of 12 of my favorite family resorts in Cancun.

1. Hard Rock Hotel Cancun

The next time you yearn for a family getaway to Cancun, make it a Hard Rock vacation.

This all-inclusive resort has great family amenities for crafting a vacation the kids won’t soon forget.

The Music Lab is an experience for the ages. Your teens can play out their rock star dreams with accelerated music training and instruction in this program.

Teens can play in a Jam Band, singing or choosing from four instruments as they rock out in groups of up to seven.

The Mix program within the Music Lab is for aspiring DJs. Work in groups of no more than six as you use an iPad and Traktor Kontrol D2 to create special effects, vocals, and beats.

Rocktube is a chance to make your own music video, while the Recording Studio is an audio recording of your radio-ready work.

The Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club includes plenty of music, crafts, games, and activities for your younger ones. The themes change daily, ensuring the available activities aren’t the same for any two days.

The Kids Club also grants the kids’ pool access with slides, but that’s not the only pool on the resort grounds. Far from it! There’s also a freestyle pool, outdoor hydro spa tubs, and swim-up bars for adults.

The all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels culinary experience invites your taste buds to sample five restaurants on the hotel grounds.

Frida serves Mexican flavors, Zen is an Asian fine dining establishment, Ciao makes Italian dishes, Toro is a delectable steakhouse, and Pizzeto’s specialty is brick-oven style pizzas. In-room dining is also available.

Your lodging options include deluxe rooms, Rock Royalty rooms, and Rock Suites.

The Rock Suites have up to two bedrooms, one offering a king-sized bed and another with dual double beds. The Rock Suites also boast a dining and living area, a private bathroom with a shower, and a private terrace with furniture.

I’d recommend these rooms if you’re traveling with a larger group.
